Corneal Refractive Therapy:
Orthokeratology: Ortho-K is a process which specially designed rigid contact lenses are worn overnight to gradually reshape the cornea. This gives you clear vision throughout the day. The effect of the lenses is temporary, usually lasting about 1 day, so the lenses must be worn each night. Dr. Jones is an expert at fitting Ortho-K lenses. Dry Eye Management: Dry eye is a common problem in Arizona. Dr. Jones can help you achieve more comfortable eyes with the use of dry eye drops, plugs for your tear duct, and possibly a prescription. He will assess your eyes and formulate a specific plan for your dry eyes.

Macular Degeneration and Glaucoma Management: Macular degeneration and glaucoma are major eye diseases that affect your vision. Dr. Jones can manage these complex cases. He is one of the few optometrists in the area with a Stratus OCT. The Stratus OCT helps manage these diseases more closely by taking a scan of the back of the eye. These scans can detect progression of the diseases more quickly.

Stratus OCT:
  • Provides in vivo, cross-sectional images and quantitative analysis of retinal features to optimize the diagnosis and monitoring of retinal disease and for enhanced pre- and post-therapy assessment.
  • Provides retinal imaging and analysis to facilitate a more complete assessment of pre- and post-op cataract patients for better patient management.
  • Images and measures retinal nerve fiber layer and the optic nerve head to aid in the detection and management of glaucoma.
  • Compares retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) and macula thickness to an age-matched normative database.
  • Stratus OCT cross-sectional images are valuable for clinical evaluation of macular holes, macular edema and other retinal pathologies.
